Video of the Week: Forever Still - Awake the Fire

Forever Still are back with their video for new single Awake The Fire.

The video is the first from the band's latest EP Save Me. Following Scars, it is the second of three digital EPs that will eventually end up as one physical full length concept album later in 2015. The story of the album is about a suppressed individual struggling through depression, anxiety, and worthlessness fighting to find their strength.

About the record, lead singer Maja Schønning says: “The songs are all very raw, emotional and somewhat imperfect, because we wanted it to sound like someone falling apart and trying to put the pieces back together". 

The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered in Copenhagen by band member Mikkel Haastrup in the band’s own studio. He explains: "We like our music and everything surrounding it to be 100% honest and we felt the only way we could achieve that was by doing everything ourselves". 

Contrary to their group name, the band show their energetic side in the video for Awake The Fire as it switches between shots of them performing on stage and solo scenes of Maja! Check out the video below!
